The Brief

Metcheck has always provided high quality, rapidly updated weather information for Europe using the internet. More than 100,000 daily visitors log onto the website to view the latest weather information in its own unique format. The next logical step with the advance of the Internet and SMS was using SMS technology to make data available to users roaming around Europe.

The Solution

The company decided to make use of the E-mail to SMS (SMTP) gateway. This application was implemented by having batch scripts sent from any one of 12 global servers at regular times. The scripts send a perfectly formatted SMS message to the user with the latest weather forecast attached.

In today’s competitive Banking environment it has become crucial for financial organisations to provide customers with real-time, reliable information on their banking transactions, no matter where they are located.
